Doomscroller Salary Explained: What Is Known and What Is Not

By Influish Editorial Team · Published · Last updated

Short answer

The doomscroller role advertised by Influish (described in news reports as a Udaipur, Rajasthan company) is reported to be paid, but the amount is not disclosed in any report we verified (as of 6 November 2026). What is reported is the shape of the question: the application form reportedly lets candidates choose full-time or internship and asks for their current and expected salary. Hours, benefits, location terms and the final employment type are all still unknown.

What exactly is known about the pay?

The table below separates each pay-related detail by how well it is supported. “Confirmed in multiple reports” means two or more independent, verified news reports say the same thing. “Reported” means it appears in a single report or reports disagree. “Not confirmed” means no source we could verify states it at all.

What do the news reports actually say about money?

India Today’s report, published on 5 November 2026, describes the opening as a paid “professional doomscroller” job and calls it full-time, but gives no salary, deadline or eligibility details (India Today). Asianet News Hindi says the role is paid without naming an amount and lists the form fields, including current and expected salary (Asianet News Hindi). NKTV lists the same fields, adds that a resume upload is mandatory, and states that no pay amount, deadline, eligibility or remote/on-site detail was given (NKTV). Dainik Bhaskar’s English desk reports that full-time and internship options are offered (Dainik Bhaskar Digital (English)).

In other words, the coverage is consistent on one point that matters for pay: nobody has a number. Reports differ in emphasis — some headlines say “get paid to watch Reels”, one Hindi headline says “salary” (Salam Hindustan) — but none of the article bodies we read contains a figure.

Why does the full-time or internship choice matter so much?

Because it decides what kind of pay you would be offered, and how it is treated. A full-time employee in India is normally paid a monthly salary that may include fixed and variable components and, depending on the employer, statutory contributions. An intern is normally paid a stipend — often a flat monthly amount — and the arrangement is time-limited. The two are not directly comparable, and an expected-salary answer that suits one can be wrong for the other.

We explain the structures in detail, without inventing numbers, in how trend research work is paid. If you are filling in the form, our expected-salary guide shows how to answer differently for each track.

How should you read salary figures you find online?

Search results for “doomscroller salary” may show pages quoting a monthly figure. Before trusting one, ask three questions:

  1. Does it link to an official statement? A figure is only meaningful if it comes from Influish itself or from a report that quotes the company. None of the reports we verified does.
  2. Is it about the same employer? A different company, Monk Entertainment, ran a widely covered “doomscroller” listing in August 2025. Its pay was not disclosed either; see the disclosure tracker on our homepage.
  3. Is it a benchmark dressed up as a salary? Figures for “social media analyst” or similar roles describe other jobs. They can inform your own research — our sourced benchmarks for related roles show how — but they are not the doomscroller salary.

What would a complete salary disclosure include?

If Influish publishes terms, or you receive an offer, these are the details that together make up the real compensation picture. Use it as a checklist to see what is still missing:

Our offer checklist and comparison worksheet turns this list into questions you can ask and a table you can fill in.

How do we keep this page accurate?

Every statement above comes from the verified source list maintained for this group of sites, last checked on 6 November 2026. Reports that we could not load are not used; a Moneycontrol article that appears in news indexes could not be verified and is not cited. If an official figure is published, we will add it with the date and a link, and change the “Updated” date at the top of the page. Our salary research methodology explains the rules.

We do not link to an application form: when we last checked (6 November 2026), no official Influish page for this opportunity was live. If an official page goes live, we will link it here clearly labelled. Until then, treat any “apply here” link from an unofficial source with caution.

Frequently asked questions

Has anyone published the doomscroller salary per month?

Not from any source we could verify. None of the nine news reports we checked, and nothing on Influish's own website, states a monthly salary, stipend or annual package for the role as of 6 November 2026.

Will the pay be different for interns and full-time hires?

Usually internships and full-time roles are paid differently, and reports say the form offers both options. Whether Influish will pay them differently, and how, has not been disclosed.

Where will the real salary be announced?

If it is published, expect it through Influish's official channels or in an offer to shortlisted candidates. Reports say shortlisted candidates will be contacted. We will update this page if an official figure appears.
